Solenoid valve common faults 1, coil short circuit or circuit break detection

 

When we are testing the solenoid valve, its coil short circuit or break detection method is to use a multimeter to measure its on and off, resistance value tends to zero or infinite, that means the coil short circuit or break. If the measured resistance value is normal, it cannot indicate that the coil must be good, please conduct the following final test: find a small screwdriver to put in the vicinity of the metal rod in the solenoid valve coil, and then energize the solenoid valve, if you feel magnetic, then the solenoid valve coil is good, otherwise bad. Treatment: replace the solenoid valve coil.

 

Solenoid valve common faults 2, plug/socket problems

 

Failure: if the solenoid valve is a plug/socket type, there may be a problem with the metal spring of the socket, a problem with the wiring of the plug, etc. The power cannot be sent to the coil.

 

Make it a good habit to turn on the fixing screw after the plug is in the socket and the fixing nut after the spool stem on the coil. If the plug of solenoid valve coil is equipped with led power indicator light, then when using DC power to drive the solenoid valve, it should be connected, otherwise the indicator light will not be on. In addition, do not replace power plugs with led power indication of different voltage levels, which may cause the led to burn out/the power to short circuit or the led to emit very weak light.

 

If there is no power indicator, the solenoid coil does not have to distinguish polarity.

 

Solenoid valve common faults 3: wiring error, repair or replace the plug, socket, valve core problem

 

Fault phenomenon 1: in the solenoid valve by the media pressure normal, press the solenoid valve red manual button, solenoid valve is not responsive, that the valve core must be bad.
